Portland acupuncturist Erin Brockmeyer is a graduate of the top-rated Oregon College of Oriental Medicine right here in Portland, Oregon. She is thrilled to be a part of the acupuncture scene in Portland, and also regularly works with other medical providers in the local community. Erin has a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is nationally certified in acupuncture as well as in Chinese herbal medicine. She also practices Functional Nutrition, having studied it for the past 5 years. Her license has been current with the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners since opening her private practice in 2007. Erin calls SE Portland home, and has since arriving from Madison, Wisconsin in 2001. She was a backpacker, and decided that the diverse climates in the Pacific Northwest would provide endless exploration. Arriving in late August, Erin experienced two months of perfect Portland weather. It made her wonder why everyone doesn't live here! She since has grown to alternately love and tolerate the rain, and always reminds herself it could be snowing. Erin spends much of her time with her wonderful husband, an area arborist, and her two sons whom she thinks are brilliant, super cute, and have tons of energy. She enjoys baking, snowboarding, writing, spending time with friends, and hiking. You can often see her out for strolls with her family, playing soccer at the local park, or at her neighborhood New Seasons shopping for yummy organic foods.
