About me

My yoga journey started not out of choice, but out of necessity. With a history of doing physically demanding work while opal mining, although I enjoyed this and have many stories to tell, it definitely took its toll on my body. Suffering from back pain from a young age, my back finally gave out, leaving me broken and unable to function. After trying everything to find solutions & with spinal surgery booked, my physio talked me into tyring yoga and I'm glad she did! Not only was it the best thing for my pain physically but it changed my life mentally and spiritually as well! Plus, I have avoided the surgery. Yoga has changed the way I think, the way I feel, and the way I live my life. From here I took the plunge and decided to take part in an intensive training in India, unbeknownst to me it was Ashtanga Vinyasa. Traditional Ashtanga can be one of the most challenging things you can do, and I fell in love with it. Pretty soon I was practicing upwards of 8 hours a week and I couldn't get enough! Once again, I felt that call deep inside of me. The call that's exciting but a little scary at the same time. I subsequently went back to India to attempt a 2nd series Ashtanga, which was even more challenging than the primary series, but can take your mind and body to a new level. I have met and had the pleasure of spending time with some truly inspiring and enlightened individuals, who have had a major impact on my life. Now I wish to share my skills and passion of Ashtanga with the world, help people find their peace and change there lifestyle in a sustainable way so together we can change the world one breath at a time!
