About me
Claire is a highly qualified licensed acupuncturist practicing various styles of Traditional Acupuncture in a home clinic based in Blaby, Leicester. Claire's personal experience with debilitating anxiety initiated a journey into the world of acupuncture as a patient herself, these sessions had a life changing impact which resulted in the desire to help others and the beginning of her acupuncture studies.
Claire enrolled into a 3 year degree at the College of traditional Acupuncture in 2009. Claire graduated in 2012 with a first class Bachelor of Arts degree in Traditional Acupuncture awarded by Oxford Brookes University. Claire was awarded her license to practice acupuncture in 2011 by the College of Traditional Acupuncture. The College of Traditional acupuncture was the oldest college in Europe until its closure in 2012 and was accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB). Claire is currently involved in the Anxiety UK and British Acupuncture project as a practitioner.
Claire has experience treating conditions such as fertility, anxiety, menopausal symptoms, migraines and headaches, pain, rhinitis, back pain, sciatica, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, neck pain, shoulder pain, gout, insomnia, facial rejuvenation IBS, arthritis and knee pain. Claire has additional training in the specialism of fertility, pain and Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture by renowned cosmetic acupuncture authors Radha Thambirajah (completed in 2011), Paul Adkins and Michelle Gellis advanced techniques.

Gua Sha Certification 58 hours of theory and practice with Dr Arya Neilson, considered to be the western authority on gua sha.

MASCED Accreditation The Masced accreditation programme has been developed by national melanoma and skin cancer charity, SKCIN. The Objective of the Scheme is to significantly raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of skin cancer and to promote early signs and symptoms of melanoma, to improve prognosis and save lives.
Additional Continuing professional development (CPD) Most of my CPD has a focus of deepening my understanding of traditional acupuncture and training in different classical styles with the ambition of growing tools in my toolkit and improving diagnostics, methodology and ultimately results. In addition to undertaking a life long study in traditional acupuncture, I have completed further training in treating fertility, menopause, pain, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD and addiction (please note, I am currently unable to offer acupuncture for addiction due to the need for daily sessions and lack of availability.
